Some sad news to report that on the 30/06/25 Mike Taverner passed away.
Mike was a regular second row 1st team player in the 50s and 60s and continued to support the club after finishing his playing career. He very much enjoyed the pre match lunches when attending as a supporter. He was also a big help with the move to The Hayfields from the old ground. Described as quiet and understated but a man to be listened too. He will be missed by all.
Mikes funeral is at Westerleigh Crematorium at 2.15pm on Monday the 28/07/25 with a wake after at the rugby club from 2.45pm onwards.
